✔ Open position:
Postdoctoral Fellow in Dairy Science (Statistical Modeling focus)
The Ribeiro Lab is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to an NSERC Alliance project titled “The Health Path to Advance Dairy Sustainability.”
The overarching goal of this project is to develop innovative methods for the streamlined assessment of transition management in dairy farms, and to support data-driven decision-making to improve cow health, welfare, and overall sustainability of dairy production systems.
To achieve these objectives, the project integrates large-scale field studies conducted on commercial dairy farms with advanced statistical and machine learning approaches. These analyses will leverage both traditionally collected data (e.g., milk recording systems) and emerging data streams (e.g., sensor technologies).
The Alliance project is organized into three major studies, each comprising multiple activities with specific objectives and hypotheses. The research team includes a diverse group of highly qualified personnel (HQP), including graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and undergraduate research assistants.
The Ribeiro Lab provides a collaborative, team-oriented environment with opportunities for hands-on experience in applied animal science and advanced data analytics. Team members also benefit from strong connections with academic and industry partners.
